Working principle of sand mill
Sand mill is a horizontal wet continuous production grinding disperser. The pre stirred raw materials are sent to the grinding tank of the host machine. The grinding tank is filled with an appropriate amount of grinding medium. Through the high-speed rotation of the dispersion blade, the grinding medium is given enough kinetic energy to collide with the dispersed material particles to produce shear crushing force and extrusion crushing force, so as to achieve the effect of dispersion. Then, the dispersed materials are separated from the grinding medium through a special separation device.

According to the development of sand mill, it can be divided into five stages: vertical mixing mill, vertical disc sand mill, vertical pin rod sand mill, horizontal disc sand mill and horizontal pin rod circulating sand mill.
Grinding technology of sand mill
There are four main grinding processes of sand mill: continuous grinding process, series grinding process, combined cycle grinding process and single barrel cycle grinding process. The premise of single barrel circulating grinding process is that the number of cycles is greater than 5, and the circulating barrel is equipped with an agitator to ensure full mixing of materials and avoid dead corners in the circulating barrel. The process has simple operation and small equipment investment. It is generally used for grinding ceramic raw materials, such as silicon carbide, silicon nitride, boron carbide, etc.
